Commercial Description:
We cut up 150 pounds of pie pumpkins, roasted them until they were brown at the edges and added them to our mash. Then we spiced it with traditional pumpkin pie spices instead of finishing hops. We call it pumpkin pie in a glass! OG: 1.070 Color: 18 IBU: 30

Growler from Wilmington. Pours a nice hued fiery orange with no head. Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon, very sweet. Flavor is smooth with little carbonaton (damn you screw-cap growlers). There’s a nice pumpkin pie sugary character as well as lots of fall spices. Not much in the way of hops. Nice autumn beer.

On tap at the Media location. Pours a translucent orange amber with a small off white lacing head. Aroma was on the lighter side. Picked up some pumpkin as well as various pumpkin pie spices. Taste was of the same. Pretty standard Pumpkin Ale, luckily nothing artificial going on like some of these have. Was also picking up more "standard" beer characteristics compared to others I’ve had. Might have been due to some of the hops I was picking up.

On tap at the Iron HIll in Media. Poured a clear, medium amber color with an off white head. Mainly spices in the nose. Very light pumpkin comes through in the taste. Dry finish. Fizzy body.

MEDIA, PA: Nice dark orange color with a light tan head. There was pumpkin flavor but it wasn’t as heavy as it has been in the past. A little more hoppy than in the past as well. I took homw a growler for Halloween.

Nice pumpkin flavor. More spice than sweetness, which I liked. Great amber/orange color.

Hmmm. Real pumpkinny. Tastes like pumpkin pie. Not as good, tho. That's really all I have to say about this one.

Nice beer. Nothing too special though. Smelled wonderfully spicy, but the taste did not really have that spiciness.

Half decent example of the seasonal pumkin style ale, amber color, decent lacy head, lots of pumpkin aromas in the nose, but not a whole lot of it in the flavor, drinkable, but certainly not the best pumkin style ale out there
