#15 [Blind tasting @ Papsoe] Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Muddy amber colour. Fair display of lacework. Dried fruit, caramel, brown sugar, vinous. Almost bread like. Almost raisins, prunes and date. Lovely full bodied with a soft carbonation and an alcoholic texture. My guess is a Quadruple. Heavy sweet flavour with hint of acidic and bitterness. Lovely lingering sweet raisin finish. 4 / 8 / 8 / 4 / 17 = 4.1

Poured a hazy brown-amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of highly ripe peaches, brown sugar and some alcohol. The flavor was fairly sweet. Sugary, lightly bruised apples and raisins. Medium to full bodied. Very warming with a light carbonation.

(750ml Bottle) Pours a cloudy mahogany body with a spare off-white head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, dates, apple, and banana. Flavor of raisins, brown sugar, breadiness, and figs.

dark brown with a burgandy hue, scant off white head, streaks of drippy lace, rich sweet dark fruit aroma with ripe dates and raisons, creamy body has a bit of stickyness, big sweet fruity malt flavor, nice bready character, brown sugar sweetness, the bread combines with the fruit and brown sugar to create a nice cookie

Bottled. A very dark amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of alcohol, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruit and alcohol. The alcohol makes the body very strong.

Thanks Crizay for sharing! Pours Mahogany with absolutely no head. Aroma is plums, candy sugar and caramel/toffee. Flavor is sweet fruit, candy sugar and a bit of alcohol present. Very thick and syrupy. beer was ok, think I might pass next time.

Dark mahognay pour, no head at all. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, berries and some banana. Flavor is much the same caramel, candy sugar, brown sugar mainly. Hints of banana and chocolate as well. Thick chewy caramel finish. But wheres the carbonation it would’ve been so much better if it wasn’t flat. It’s good but could’ve been better with carbonation. Dissapointing ecspecially at $20 a bottle.

Poured a dark brown/redish zero head. Aroma was of dark fruits and alcohol. Flavor was much the same some chocolate and spices as well. Mouthfeel was way to thin for the style. Not bad but needs work.
