W.C. Pours a clean but rather thick, oily looking copper/brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma was sweet molasses, carmel, and mild vanilla. Flavors were thick syrup, banana, nuts, molasses, bubble gum. I recommend trying this batch before it’s gone!

YUMMY this was a nice brew. Bold flavor, new and bolder than ever... delicious. An explosion of bold flavors in your mouth, sweet and malty and yum.

Pours a cloudy brown color with a thin offwhite head. Excellent aroma of molasses, leather and malt. Excellent flavor of molasses, licorice, leather and malt. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. Superb, they managed to do a sweet beer but it doesn’t get on the cloying side of things, it’s just right.

Dark brown clear ale with reddish hues with a thin off white head. Dark brown sugar aroma with licorice notes and alcohol warmth, intriguing. Sweet maple licorice in mouth, smooth and sweet, pleasant, genial! Ohhhh! My coup de coeur. Yowie raved about this the whole time! On tap at BCTC 2006.

Dark almost like grape juice. Smell like grape and plums. Tastes sweet like grapejuice with hugh alcohol kick.

Oak aged @ Winter Warmers, Media location. Oak aroma with sweet notes. Flavor was again sweet with a distinctive note of vanilla. Very smooth pn the palate as I found it easy to drink.

GABF 2005. Body is medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie, caramel), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of banana, raisin, and date. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Supposedly 12.5%, not 10.5%. Very enticing aroma, full rich flavor, enjoyed many samples of this one.
