Dec 17, 2006 This beer was a cold dark black. Light chocolate is present in the aroma. The body of the beer was roasted and loaded with chocolate. It was much sweeter then I anticipated. Overall pretty good.

Dec 16, 2006 Thanks 1FastSti for sharing this one. Incredible aroma that is freaking loaded with chocolate and coffee. One of the strongest aromas of the night. Dark, dark black in color with a thin brown head. Rich bitter dark chocolate flavors,with some spicy coffee and pine hop bitterness. Full bodied, nice and creamy texture.

Dec 16, 2006 Bottle via The_Epeeist. The beer pours to a dark black body with a nice tall really foamy dark brown head. The aroma is rich with roasty chocolate that comes off as lightly soapy. The flavor is richly chocolatey with lots of charred roasty malts. Nicely charred black malts. Complex. The palate is richly full bodied. Quite unique for an imperial stout.

Nov 28, 2006 Darker than their porter w. a molasses underpinning. Deep aroma is hard to peel apart to discern. This brew packs a wallop, but the alcohol is well integrated. Sweet roastiness and seductive. This beer can knock you out.

Nov 19, 2006 Pours very dark brown/black, with a tan head. Aromas are roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, and some hops. Flavors are chcoclate, roasted malt, dark fruit, and coffee. Medium body. Thanks to The_Epeeist for this bottle.

Nov 4, 2006 Updated: Jan 12, 2007’05 bottle. Good aroma and dark appearance with faint head. Flavor is a little bitter but well balanced. Very malty chocolate presence. Good beer.
Update: Draft. Awesome aroma. Flavor is very well balanced with a chocolate flavor. Enjoyable. The draft really makes the difference.

Oct 3, 2006 Black, brown, tan head. Nice coffee roast note, some vegetal oat and chocolate. Charred peach. The flavor is nice, plenty of sweet creamy malt and a bit of hops. Finishes rooty, lots of melas and roast. Impressive. A touch of hops blend on the brutal coffee and roasted body.
