draft several times at Lancaster Iron Hill. Poured cloudy dark golden in color with an offwhite medium sized head. Aroma of rye and lighty bready. Tastes of rye, light citrus, spices, grass, and fairly earthy. A pretty nice selection.

Aroma of some spice and rye with a good amount of malts. Flavor is spicy and some mellow fruit and grain with a nice clean dry finish. Pretty good.

[2392-20090801] Tap. Mildl nothing aroma has a bit of yeasty saison as it warms. Hazy, light yellow orange body with a quick foamy white head. Fair saison yeast flavour. Light-medium body. Average.

Hazy golden pour with a rocky head. Peppery aroma with some fruit. Dry and bitter at the beginning followed by some fruit and then dry again. Nice little beer. Touch of sour.

2009-08-01. Golden yellow body with a mild aroma, a light spice with a touch of grainy character. Flavour is similar with light spice, touch of rye and pale grainy malt. Average plate. Okay. Bit simple? Growler at BCTC 2009

On draft at the Lancaster location. Light golden color, decent initial had that had weak retention for the style. Good lacing somehow. But all amazing from there on. Aroma featured some sweeter candy apple and light fruit malts, a firm black pepper presence and some off straw notes too? Flavor wakes ya the heck up with firm in your face pepper and hops and presumably the spicy rye bitter twangy malts. Something from that spice rack too herbs and spices blend. Phenolic character is firm. Light fruits are present, light bananas at wamer temperatures. Mouthfeel was light and full at the same time. Refreshing heck of a beer. Dang good. Fantastic, in my IH top five. Good and lively carbonation.

Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of rye malts, citrus fruits, coriander, lemongrass, toast, and honey. Taste of lots of chewy rye, citrus fruits, vanilla, honey, tart wheat, grass, and a dry finish.

Bottle @ the Cuvee de Castleton release. Light pour with small head that lasted. Decent saision, flavor was slightly different than what I’m accustom to and/or like in a saison.
