Commercial Description:
A stronger version of the Iron Hill Saison. A Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Unfiltered, bright and light bodied, yet the yeast gives it a character that is earthy, fruity and spicy with a refreshing finish. The perfect beer to pair with all kinds of food.

Hazy gold color with minimal head. Fruity aroma with a little yeast and spice. Flavor nice and smooth, with a dry finish. Very nice.

Thanks to Axilla for sharing this growler from the Lancaster IH. Pours a hazy golden with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of bready malt, citrus notes, hops, Saison yeast esters, peppery with a touch of orange peel. Very nice aroma. Flavor of a slightly sweet bready malt, fresh citrusy hops, Saison spicy notes, earthy, banana and orange peel.

Sampled from Growler thanks to axilla (thanks John!). Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of citrus, grassy, spices (peppers and others), and fruity. Tastes of the same pepperiness, other spices, grassy, earthy, and citrus.

[Draft @ Lancaster] Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of noble hops, floral, grass, citrus, toast, and spices. Taste of citrus, white pepper, light coriander, lemongrass, bitter hops, and peppery, alcohol in the finish. This was a great saison!

On tap at the Lancaster location. Poured Hazy golden yellow in color with a medium sized foamy head. Aroma of Belgium yeast and lemongrass. Taste was of lemon, grapefruit citrus with the underlying yeast earthiness. Finish had some spices. This one reminded me more of a hefe then a saison. 2.9 Note: RERATE 10/24/08 This tastes 100% better then it did on the 1st batch in Feb 2008.
