Don't let the light color of this beer fool you. High in alcohol with a clean finish, this traditional Belgian style may come up and bite you.

Newark location. Pours a clear gold (obviously filtered) with a diminishing whie head. Aroma is fruity, estery with some spiciness. Flavors of banana, clove, and bubblegum with moderate hoppiness and a good deal of sweetness. It’s lacking the yeastiness of most tripels due to it being filtered. Pretty good.

750ml bottle courtesy of a trade with Swolf3, thank you Steven. Pours very murky, orangish/ yellow color, nice white head. sweet citrusy aroma, nice. Very smooth, slightly sweet, very enjoyable. Hides the alcohol very well.

Tap at Media location: Dark copper/gold color. An slight aroma of citurs and yeast. Sweet fruity taste with a Belgian yeast aftertaste. I could only taste the alcohol towards the end and I did not know it was that strong until reading the beer stats. Nice beer probably my favorite so far from Iron Hill.

On tap in Phoenixville. This is a very solid Belgian Tripel. Banana & spice greet you in the beginning and it finishes smooth, crisp and warm. Very well balanced, one of Iron Hill’s best beers.

12 oz draft at the North Wales location. Pour is a slightly hazed golden yellow with a smallish white head. Aroma of banana yeastiness, with some sharp citrus sweetness. Taste was the banana yeastiness, with a bit more of a spiciness to it. The citrus sweetness comes across more as honey and oranges had with some nice bitterness, but faded quite a bit mid palate. This was an OK Tripel, though I prefer one with a bit more earthy / grassiness to it.

Tap at Lancaster location. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Aroma is very spicy and clovey with bright zesty/spicy saaz hops on the back. Sweet apricot and light banana, but with more spiciness than fruitiness. Creamy palate with soft wheaty spiciness but nicely dry on the finish. Soft floral/minty backnotes. Light peppery cooling character on the back. There is a little bit of musty yeastiness on the back. A bit of apricot and fruity yeast. Lovely balanced tripel.
