JoeMcPhee (3628), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 14, 2008 Tap at Lancaster location. Light reddish amber colour with a tight laced head. Soft toasted malt, light caramel and a soft dusty character. A light herbal/hoppy finish. Crisp and clean finish. Nice for the style.
bubbleflubber (636), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Jul 16, 2008 On tap at the Lancaster brewery. Pours amber into the glass, with a thin ring that leaves spotty lace. The nose on this is a bit weaker than expected. Some soft caramel malts mix with copper notes and lightly toasted bread on the tongue. Very soft mouthfeel, without being watery. It’s well-integrated enough, with a light bitter finish. ’Nuff said... decent. BeerGestapo (246), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2008 (USA) After another great beer run, The Knights decided to stop at Iron Hill for a cold one !! Pours a lite amber color with a dissipating white head. Has a fruity aroma with a malty / caramel taste. Not bad, give it a try. The_Captain (234), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2008 Tapped a growler of this in Lancaster with afire. I had this before but didn’t rate it up until now. Amber pour with good foam head. Tell you what it was really fresh and tasty this time around. Great malt character with a nice hop blend that was smooth and refreshing. We kept this nice and cool, put it down pretty quick! Dickinsonbeer (2466), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Apr 6, 2008 IH pville. Pours a nice clear deep copper/light amber with a nice light white head- lasts with some lace on the side. Aroma is very crisp and toasted malts, slight caramel sweetness, and burnt toast, and a nice light floral german hop character. Good clean flavor lots of fresh baked bread, toasted malts, some caramel sweetness, and a crisp clean light hoppy finish. This probably sells really well with the Yeungling crowd, but it is actually a great beer for the style.
