Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 4, 2005 Updated: Nov 4, 2007[At GABF 2004] A hazy copper colored beer with a disappearing yellow head. The aroma is roasted malty combined with notes of sirup and caramel. The flavor is very sweet malty, just a bit too sweet for me, combined with a slight roastyness and caramel. Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 9, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of kramer17801. Ever so slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Lightly sweet caramel aroma with a peaty, smoked touch. Medium body with sweetish caramel notes, a light fruitiness and then again these enticing lightly smoked accents. Very subdued bitterness. 021107 yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 14, 2007 From bottle, blind tasting at Papsoes - beer no 11. Pours golden orange to light brown with a lacing off-white head. Sweet malty, fruity and spiced aroma. Flavour is smoked, soft malty with a caramel note. Ends in a nice mellow malty and bitter note. Has a slight woody tone into the finish. hazy dark red, fine dirty white head, bits of lace,
sweet dark caramel malt aroma with a big smoky peat character,
rich malt flavor, lots of dark caramel but any sweetness is balanced by the earthy character, nice peat, light biterness considering all of the smoke and peat, swetness slowly grows, yeast swirl adds a deep bready character and a touch of tartness,
