Flavor is lots of citrus/floral hop over mildly roasted caramel. It totally lacks harshness. A joy to drink. Truly. douglas88 (1676), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2009 8/18/09 from 22oz bottle. Aroma is an even blend of strong citrusy caramel and fresh PNW hop flora with a faintly bready-sour background. Appearance is hazy auburn-tan with a very well maintained off-white head and substantial lacing. Flavor is very big and hop forward, with a blend of grass and earth balanced by a sweet/sour malt background that skips the bready notes of the aroma and lingers slightly into the finish. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with a medium-high carb texture and low warmth. Overall, a very agressive brew that should in no way be lumped into the ubiquitous "amber" category. Big, and Unapologetic.
