rayOfBeer (271), El Cerrito, California, USA Jul 15, 2008 Poured from tap at Marin Brew Breast Fest a hazy light-brown with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is caramel, malt and floral hoppy. Flavor is caramel, floral hops, light gratefruit, a bit of roast, and the underlying sweetness of malt. The palate has a good full mouthfeel but not overly so with just a touch of stickiness. This is a great beer. I must get to the brewery one day.
ratman197 (2453), Arvada, Colorado, USA Sep 24, 2008 On tap @ Iron Springs poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of ivory foam. Aromas of pine, carmel, orange and some herbal notes. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, pine, orange and light grapefruit with a smooth lingering moderatly bitter finish. Orion1800 (46), Piedmont, California, USA Feb 19, 2008 A thick beer, amber in color with good malts. Fairly big yet subtly hops, almost an IPA in hop character, yet definitely more of an amber overall Oakes (6999), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 5, 2006 Hazy dark amber. Woody, lightly citrisy hops with earthy, slightly toasty malts. Chewy malt body going as far as chocolate and toast. The woody hops are quite bitter. Nice, intense amber. SugarJackson (2), USA does not count Jun 2, 2006 A very well balanced beer - perfect combination of hops and malt. In the family of red ales - medium reddish amber in hue - but not too sweet. Nice dry finish. A very nice beer!
