Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 26/09/2009 Big coffee roast aroma. Beige head. Black and rich on the palate with some alcohol present. A little dryness and bitterness in a crisp coffee roast finish.

On tap at City Beer in SF. Pours a deep brown with a cappuccino head and clingy lace. Aromas are basic, coffee, chocolate, and caramel. Tastes of coffee, some florals, a hint of bitter grapefruit. Was a bit thin and had a surprising amount of alcohol in the finish for being 5.5%

On tap @ Toronado. Pours a deep black with a small tan head. Big coffee aroma, lots of roastiness here. Very sweet and malty, roasted coffee really shines through. Finishes like, well, a cold cup o joe; bitter, but satisfying. Try it!

Went for it in SF because I’m a sucker for a good coffee beer, whatever it be. Don’t remember being superbly impressed with this guy. It was however smooth, nicely bodied, and had a milk chocolately coffee aspect that served OK. Worth a try.

(tasting 03/13/09) According to server this batch was brewed without the coffee infusion. Not sure if it was on purpose, or not. Nice creamy head. Thin body. Dark dark brown color. A little more roasty, but reminds me of Guiness. Nice mouthfeel. Betterness lingers on palate.
