Sampled at the 5th Annual Wildland Firefighters Benefit & Festival. Beer is hazy medium amber with a small, beige, frothy-creamy, diminishing head.
The aroma is malty with light notes of toasted grain and caramel; Hoppy with an unreal amount of powerful, concentrated resin/pine, heavy dried apricot, moderate note of green grass, grapefruit oil, light note of tea; Yeasty with a trace of sweaty dough.
The flavor is heavily sweet, light-to-moderately biter with a long, lightly acidic, moderately bittersweet finish. Slightly astringency on the gums. Not just grippy, but squeaky with hop oils. Aftertaste keeps on giving.
The body is full, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is lively.
Seems out of whack and drinks like a hop-head dare. ;)
