jerohen (1489), Bussum, Netherlands Oct 6, 2008 On draft at Popeye, Tokio, Japan. Clear orange-golden appearance, no head. Faint nose, some hops. Initially fruity flavour (orange), which later on develops to be more bitter. Lasting bitter finish.
mmather (113), Colorado, USA Apr 24, 2008 from a 500ml bottle. nice straw to amber color, good head. Nice orangey, citrusy aroma. Hops and malt blend well together to make a nicely drinkable beer that would stand up to most American versions. Hops are a bit one dimensional though. Capa (738), Yokosuka, Japan Sep 3, 2007 Slightly hazy orange with an off-white head. Grapefruit hops, grass, some floral, too. Body is a tad thin. Flavor is grassy, grapefruit, and a little caramel malt. Pretty good, but it’s definitly missing something. TimE (1061), Tokyo, Japan Jun 13, 2007 Med light amber color. Very fragrant citrusy nose with oranges and grapefruits. Nice hoppy start. Mouth is definitely hop accented, but a bit thin. Grapefruity dry finish. asheft (1006), Marburg, Germany Apr 13, 2007 [on tap at Popeye]
Plenty of US hops in the nose; mostly grapefruit, plus a touch of caramel. Murky gold with lace but no top. Strong citrusy hops flavour and not much else. The hops may have been a little rancid. Very low bitterness. Medium body with low carbonation and a soda watery finish.
