doubleo (954), San Diego, California, USA Dec 30, 2007 On-tap. Pours a very, very light almost perfectly clear yellow. White head of moderately sized bubbles, that fades and laces the glass slightly. Not a huge nose but it does smell of some citrusy hops with some malt undertones. Crisp and malty, with just enough hops to make this brew very interesting. Thin and crisp. Good carbonation throughout. I love this beer. I had it twice in SB on-tap. Very drinkable and highly recommended. beerguy101 (3522), Newark, California, USA Oct 15, 2004 Light orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and a touch grassy. A medium bodied blonde/Kolsch. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are mild and nicely spicy. Light and refreshing. It has a nice spicy and malty flavor that sort of grows on you. This beer is much closer to a kolsch than a blonde or golden ale. Easy drinking. Smooth tasting. Lively but subdued carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. burpfrank (289), carpinteria, California, USA Apr 20, 2006 This had an average head. Not much aroma. It has a hoppy smell. It is a straw color.Has a light flavor of hops mainly. It is smooth tasting and not bitter.Has a soft citris, hoppy finish.Very drinkable with your buddies. If you want more flavor I would try another beer. This is an easy beer to drink that won’t distract you. BeerLimey (1875), California, USA Aug 18, 2005 Clear yellowy golden appearance, moderate head formation. Yeasty, malty aroma, mild banana and spice. Definite banana on the palate and relatively hoppy for the style. Yeastiness is interesting in this usually bland style. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Apr 16, 2005 GABF 2004 Deep straw in color with a small white head. Clean malt aroma and flavor with grainy malt and floral hops.
