burpfrank (289), carpinteria, California, USA Feb 10, 2007 This had an average head.Color nice amber.Had on tap at brewery. It had a decent hoppyness to the brew.A bit tad boring.Medium body for an IPA.This a somewhat good IPA,but not a great one. There are lots of IPA’s that are far better.Worth a taste. Old_Mr_Crow (1004), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 14, 2006 Updated: Jul 15, 2006Pours brown with very little head.
The aroma dominated by a pungent phenolic smell of rubber cement; this thing has to be infected. There are probaboly some hops and so forth in under there, but so taken aback by the strong, nasty chemica aroma here that it’s hard to ever pick that up. The favor is weak and disappointing, of course of hops, some reasonably nice caramel malts, lemon, but again dominated by that chemical astringency that is simply unpleasant and that leads into a soapy bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is way off the tail end of flat. A drainpour. Vac (2231), San Diego, California, USA Nov 8, 2005 Pours with an amber body topped by a thick head with decent lacing. The aroma is Citrusy and hoppy with a slight sweetness and a little sourness. Umm...not quite sure about the flavor. It tastes kinda like a belgian beer but nothing close to an IPA. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a little spice. Medium bodied and smooth. zug4abby (284), San Diego, California, USA Nov 1, 2005 pours a golden color with a very large head and lots of lasting lacing. aroma is fruity and light with slight floral hints, just kind of blah! flavor is absolute crap, this beer must be infected. skunky and funky like a really shitty gueuze. definitely a drain pour!! BeerLimey (1875), California, USA Aug 21, 2005 Clear reddish amber hue. Fruity pineapple grapefruit aroma. Spicy hoppy grapefruit flavor, underlying bicsuity malt provides good balance, touches of trpical fruit, dryish citric finish.
