Large sized fizzy tan head. Aroma is fruity, grape and earthy. A medium bodied Old Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet with the dominant flavors being figs and grapes. Very earthy. Understated spicy hops. Smooth taste. Nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. TomDecapolis (2508), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 21, 2006 Updated: Dec 22, 2006Pours a translucent ruby amber with a smaller bubbly head. Aroma of melon, sweet malts, Bazooka Joe gum some some coconut. Flavor of the same yet kind of yeasty. bb (2222), Martinez, California, USA Dec 31, 2004 Bottle. This is the second beer I’ve had from Island and the second one with an obvious infection problem that left it undrinklable. There is something definately wrong with their sanitation. Ruby-mahongony color with a HUGE beige head. Slightly sour aroma over malt and fruit. Sour flavor. Undrinkable. Drainpour. I won’t be buying any more of their beers after this.
