Draft at brewery, 02/18/08. Clear dark brown, small skin of foam. Aroma is nutty and a little fruity. Dark malts and a slight bitterness are overpowered by the mineral water flavor that several of this brewer’s beers exhibit. The brewmaster told me the water was hard up here and that they conditioned it. Maybe they overdid it, because beer shouldn’t remind one of Perrier. I think there’s a good beer in here, but it didn’t quite emerge.
