Commercial Description:
Bruichladdich 2009 Peat Ale is brewedusing heavily peated, malted barley wort. Islay Ales has added Cluster, Amerillo and Bobek hops to produce a beer with a bitterness which compliments the peaty character of the malt and spicy, fruity aroma with a smoky, peaty finish that has all the character of a heavily peated Malt Whisky and the best traditions of Real Ale in one bottle

The look was abit murky gray/brown with a small light brown head. Powerfull and overwhelming peated aroma, lovely! Bunfire charcoal and tar all the way. Ashy dry flavor with some light sour notes that im not sure were intentional. But they gave the beer some freshness. The flavor isnt as smoked as the aroma, but then again, the aroma was the most intense smoke aroma i’ve sniffed.
