DruncanVeasey (1735), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Sep 20, 2008 Cask, Hinckley 08. Marzipan, almond, caramel. Thats your lot. Shades of a buttery flash-boiled bottled bitter again. Light sweaty hop and caramel aroma. Insipid and pretty much devoid of hop character. Very disappointing. But looking at some of the other comments, probably worth trying again..... joe1961_2 (425), camberley, Surrey, England Jul 20, 2008 Cask at Turf Tavern Oxford. A nice orange amber colour with a thin white head. Plenty of hops in the aroma. The flavour is sweet with a hint of citrus.
A nice well made beer. fonefan (4871), Ulfborg, Denmark Jun 7, 2008 Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008. Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dusty, light hoppy, flowers, herbs, buttery and smoky notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. JonMoore (1551), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Dec 6, 2006 Bottle conditioned. Slightly hazy amber colour with a hard fought for, slim cream head. Malty and a touch citrus hop aroma. Nicely balanced malt and hoppy taste, with a lingering bitter finish. Light to medium bodied and smooth. Nice.
