Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed at The George, Barford St. Michael, Oxon. Chestnut colour with very slight head. Another flat beer unfortunately, deep nutty, dry and husky beer, quite grainy in character. Needed some life in it to drive the hop notes.

Cask-conditioned at The Royal Oak, Bath 11/08/08. Deep copper colour with a decent off-white head. Malty, red fruit and caramel aroma. Flavour was sweetish, with more fruit and a short bitter finish. good.

Bottle. Pours Mahongany with thin head. Taste is slightly sweet with a nice hoppy edge. Much more malt / toffee in here than other Isle of Purbeck beers. Aroma is fresh with a nice balance between hops and spice. Very drinkable beer, looking forward to another.
