Tried from the bottle having purchased from the local Tesco. The beer poured very dark with a head that disapeared quickly. The smell of roast oats, I felt it wasn’t sweet enough to be malts, with a faint hint of coffee and a faint spicy, fruity smell. This theme continued through to the taste but there was a slight bitterness possibly berries or bitter figs, I was worried this would be too sweet but this balanced it out well. A fine pint that I personally would have again.

500 ml bottle. Deep reddish-brown color, creamy tan head. Hoppy aroma. Bitter flavor with a malty finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body. It’s ok.

50 cl bottle hand delivered by my friend from Aberdeen! Nose of caramel, with some smoky peat; clear cherry brown with a small beige head; flavor of light pepperiness, smoke, and caramel; pretty good 4.5%ABV Porter!
