MrManning (1457), London, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2008 Bottle at Chaucer’s Pub- Deep golden pour with a frothy and long lived lacy top. On the nose, I get heavy grains, some hay, pale malts, some grassy hops. Tastes really grainy....in an odd sort of way. Sweet malts meet some sharp grassy hops, some soapy flavours too. Towards the finish, lots of grains again, to the point of this being not all that great. A strange dank funky taste is left in my mouth as well. This one is not for me.
Jonte (441), Gothenburg, Sweden Nov 21, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Light maltiness, toasted, honey, fruit and faint hops. Flavor: Light caramel, grain, honey, bread, grass, frutiness. A bit more taste wouldn´t hurt. Bullit (640), Glasgow, Scotland Oct 12, 2008 Golden colour, huge stable foamy head. Aroma light malty with some grassy hops. Flavour of malts, grassy hops and a touch of honey. Short bitter finish. Average. tlind2 (341), Helsinki, Finland Oct 10, 2008 500 ml bottle. Golden color, lasting white head. Malty aroma with some hops and hay. Strange grainy, bitter flavor with some odd fruity notes -- like shampoo? Can’t say this one is a favorite. Archibaldo de la Cruz (161), Finland Oct 7, 2008 Bottle. Orange colour with a small white head. Malty aroma with hints of hops. The flavour is malty, fruity, hoppy and slightly bitter with some sweetness. A bit thin, but not a bad beer.
