This wins the prize for the most secured bottle of beer I’ve ever had to break into ... corked, capped and wax-sealed. Damn, I was thirsty by the time I got in there. This poured a lightly hazy orange-yellow, quietly active but without much of a staying head. The aroma is very, very sweet, almost like a syrupy fruit salad or a can of mandarin oranges. This drinks as one would expect for a tripel ... yeasty, lightly fruity (mostly blood orange-like sweetness) and a pulpy body. Nice tangy finish. This drinks quite well and would go well with an Asian salad or a plate of mild cheeses. (#3126, 10/7/2007)

Growler fill from New Beer. Etoh predominates this beer. Taste is spices with strong etoh coming through strong in the taste. A strong sweet candi malt with honey and dry pilsner malt. Fruit cantelope peach come across but a bit astringent due to the strong alcohol presence. not for me.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pale golden lightly hazy with a thick white head. Aroma is lightly spicy but with a distinct fruity apple/peach aroma as well. The flavour is lightly fruity with a honeyish sweetness and a bit of herbal character on the back. It’s way too sweet but the malts are fairly authentic. Lightly spicy. It’s okay.

From a bottle purchased for me by my girlfriend Nancy at "Jungle Jim’s World Market" in Fairfield, Ohio - This one poured a dark golden liquid with a tall , just off-white head of foam and a complex, ft sweet aroma ( Tastewise, this is a complex-but-light bodiedbtew from Rogue,

Gold pour with a slight haze.. Spicy aroma. Yeasty flavor combined with sour apples, and candy sugar. Real nice considering the sale price!

750 mL bottle. Pours golden with great carbonation, hazy, big white head. Aroma is spice, orange, yeast. Flavor is similar, with fruity flavors from yeast--apple, peach, raisins, and candi sugar all throughout, tangy finish. Nice beer, and I don’t know if it is normally $4 a bottle, but that is a really good price.
