Sweet spicey malt nose. Really enjoyed the flavor...a little hot but the spice was quite good...great tripel interpretation.....I was quite surprised! Going to buy this one again.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2009 RnH: pours golden, very thin head ring. The nose is mild.... florals, esters, slight pine. The taste is certainly complex: fruits, sugars and malts, esters and slight bitters... however not entirely balanced and in no way a stand out brew for the style. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Bottle:Light hazy golden with a white thin ring of head. Decent dryish biscuity pale malt notes in the aroma with a sweet presence of honeyish maltose and soft herbal notes. Rounded carbonation- a typically sweet American interpretation of a Belgian tripel. Some honeyish sweetness and vanilla suggestions with only a hint of herbal notes on the back. Should use less all-grains more and full fermentables. j12601 (1349), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
