RichardGretton (2603), Leicestershire, England Jun 29, 2008 Cask@Criterion, Leicester. Golden beer with a toffee aroma, and a toffee and bitter flavour with a touch of malt. Overall a reasonable beer.
Magic_dave6 (3642), London, Greater London, England Aug 12, 2008 Cask in The New Crown. Aroma is caramel malts, grassy bittering hop. Taste is similar, basicly the perfect example of an inoffensive basic bitter. leaparsons (3878), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Jul 9, 2008 Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Amber with a small head. Aromas are tea and spices with some fruit. Lightly soapy. Flavours are caramel malts with tea. Some melon with metal and sulphur. Lightly bitter. bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 6, 2008 Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. Golden brown with short lived white head. Pleasant but rather bland. Fin (2164), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jun 8, 2008 Cask, conditioned at The Globe on the lake, Alresford, Hampshire 7th June 2008 Pours dark gold or even light amber maybe no head to this beer, tangy fruity and another quite soft malty beer from this part of the world, there is some tingly citrus favour but I wouldn’t go of out of my way to try this again.
