Waaaay to much alcohol. This beer goes beyond the pleasant "warming" sensation and merely delivers burn. Plus, it's rather roasty and burnt tasting. Really not my thing, although I must concede that they didn't scrimp on malt. N.B. The bottle has a disturbing label of a hideously disfigured person. ;)

Interesting - it starts off with sweet chocolate, but then turns all roasty - I liked that combo of flavors. The rest was run of the mill stout as far as it's medium body and dark brown/black color

Decent roasted flavor but a tad strong. Nice malt flavor but a tad thin. Fairly good.

Black in colour, tan head which fades, but not too quickly. A nice roasted and burnt aroma. A medium-full bodied beer with spicy and burnt characteristics with a very full malt flavour. A bit stong, but a great overall beer!

i’m pretty impressed, especially having been less than blown away by most of ithaca’s bottled offerings. this, however, has a nice roasted nose, although it could be more noticeable, a rich malt flavor and a long-lasting aftertaste. very good.

Dark chestnut with ruby hues. Small, foamy dark tan head. Easy going carbonation. Warm aroma of lactose, oats, roasted chocolate and flaked barley. Initially fluffy with a solid body beneath, quick hit of alcohol and a deep malt backbone. Medium thick body. Dry, roasted and full with rich malt flavors and alcohol esters. Hint of lactic sweetness and oat smoothness. Long roasted chocolate aftertaste. Finishes with peanuts, a touch of plum and a thick roasted barley note. This is outstanding and even more impressive knowing it’s probably from last years batch.
