| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Reddish amber body, large tan head, great lacing ... a beautiful beer. Nose of sweet malts and PNW hops. Taste of sweet malts, toffee, pine and citrus, with a long bitter finish. Definitely an American IPA, not a red. Enjoyable, though neither intense or complex as my favorite American IPAs. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a deep and see through orange color (with a reddish tint to it) with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, and caramel. Tastes of oranges, light pine, light caramel with a grapefruit finish. spikee (96), Providence, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 9, 2006 Bold, beautiful hop aroma. Pours a nice amber with a thin, off-white head. Refined cascade hops upfront with a slick, caramel finish. Hoppy aftertaste lingers for a good few minutes. Would definitely buy again. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Reddish amber body, beige head. Aroma of caramel and hops. Flavor has that unmistakable piney, citrusy cascade hoppiness, but is balanced by loads of caramel malt. Not until the initial flavor subsides do the hops really take over and dominate the flavor. The finish is simply loaded with hops, and is dry and sticky sweet. Tasty IPA and a good showcase of cascade hops. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA

I’m a hop head and this one pretty much smacks that cascade hop flavor without ever becoming truely vicious, hence the red ale designation. This is easy to drink but not overly complex. It is very well balanced but has a somewhat wet to medium finish. I had this one on tap (Rooster Fish, Watkins Glen, NY) as well and the tap version blows the bottled version away. beerbill (1976), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 4, 2006 On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a thin head. Very strong fruit and floral aroma along with some caramel notes from the red malt. The hops is also very present in the flavor along with some maltiness lingering in the background. A bit of a bite in the finish. While I am not a hophead, I did enjoy this beer. Wild4mild (37), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2006 Bottle from Thaichile. Dark copper color. Minimal head. Pleasant balance between sweetness and hoppiness. An IPA that I could drink more than one of without getting fatigued by the hops.
