Jul 19, 2009 Pours a clear red color with a slightly off white head. Aroma of malts, hops, and a bit of caramel. Flavor of caramel, hops, and a touch of sweetness. Very nice beer!

Jul 15, 2009 Tap @ Ginger Man, Norwalk, CT. What first impressed me was the nice dark amber hue of this IPA. Wjhile the hoppy flavor was modest and lacking of undertones, the palate was very wide. I liked the combination of hop bitterness and sweetness. One of the better IPAs I’ve tried.

Jul 12, 2009 Bottle at The Comet.
Poured clear reddish copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy hoppy and sweet malt aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration.
This is a solid drinkable brew.

Jul 9, 2009 Pours deep amber with a small beige head. Aroma is light, but pleasant, with sweet caramel, and piny hops. Flavor follows the aroma well with piny hops and caramel upfront, and a thick bready finish. Palate is medium with a bit of lingering bitter- sweetness. Just a bit watery though. Wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not amazing, but a fairly solid ipa none the less.

Jun 29, 2009 FIRST OFF I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE BOTTLING AND THE GIMIC FOR THIS BEER IS GREAT EVEN SURPPASSING THE ARROGANT BASTARD ALE. THE PACKAGING IS LIKE A 70’S B-MOVIE POSTER WITH A LIZARD BLOWING FIRE, TOTALLY RIDICULOUS AND AWESOME. POURS A CLOUDY AMBER RED WITH A LITTLE HEAD SMELLS DELICIOUS AND LOOKS GREAT. TASTES LIKE A TYPICAL BITTER IPA BUT LACES THE MOUTH WELL WITH FLAVOR NO REAL FRUITY FLAVOR LIKE MOST TYPICAL IPAS HAVE. THIS IS A REAL BEER DRINKERS BREW THUMBS UP.

Jun 27, 2009 Pours dard read with white head. This is exactly what it says it is. Hoppy and malty at the same time. A very good and unique red ale.
