What first impressed me was the nice dark amber hue of this IPA. Wjhile the hoppy flavor was modest and lacking of undertones, the palate was very wide. I liked the combination of hop bitterness and sweetness. One of the better IPAs I’ve tried. Tmoney99 (4745), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear reddish copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy hoppy and sweet malt aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration.
This is a solid drinkable brew. jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Pours deep amber with a small beige head. Aroma is light, but pleasant, with sweet caramel, and piny hops. Flavor follows the aroma well with piny hops and caramel upfront, and a thick bready finish. Palate is medium with a bit of lingering bitter- sweetness. Just a bit watery though. Wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not amazing, but a fairly solid ipa none the less. THE PACKAGING IS LIKE A 70’S B-MOVIE POSTER WITH A LIZARD BLOWING FIRE, TOTALLY RIDICULOUS AND AWESOME. POURS A CLOUDY AMBER RED WITH A LITTLE HEAD SMELLS DELICIOUS AND LOOKS GREAT. TASTES LIKE A TYPICAL BITTER IPA BUT LACES THE MOUTH WELL WITH FLAVOR NO REAL FRUITY FLAVOR LIKE MOST TYPICAL IPAS HAVE. THIS IS A REAL BEER DRINKERS BREW THUMBS UP.
