Courtesy of jbluvs. Hazy golden nectar with a small white head. Aroma is tart apple cider vinegar, barnyard funk, and some zesty wheat malt. Flavor is funky- lots of tart pear, apple, and the quintessential horse blanket. Excellent balance of tart and sweet. Palate is effervescent, smooth, and a bit dry in the finish. Most excellent.

75 cl bottle at the RB Rochester Gathering, Sept. 09. Thanks, ElJefe. Glowing golden color, very lively carbonation. Sour brett aroma with horse blanket. Huge brett sourness, with good lactic flavor. Citrus and some caramel as well. Smooth and creamy as hell. A very nice, easy-drinking sour.

Corked and capped 750 mL bottle courtesy of bankhead. Thanks Henry! Pours a hazy lemon yelloe with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Nice lightly acidic aroma with notes of lemon, candied lemon, faint funk, other citrus notes and a faint herbalness. Taste is very bright and vibrant lemon citrus notes with a tart finish, mild funky note and an earthy note. Medium bodied. Highly drinkable, straightforward,

Thanks to twelvsies for this one! Pours a great golden color with some really amazing carbonation and a nice foamy head. Smell is of sour apples, brett, and barrel. Good. Taste is..wow, this rivals a RR sour. Quite well balanced between the sour and sweet, definitely a bit more to the sour side, but nice no less. Apples makes another appearance as well as a vinous barrel taste. Very nice. Mouth is thin and bubbly as it needs to be. A world class sour.

Bottle of the Batch 2. Tart green grape aroma with hints of vanilla. Medium tart flavor echoes the aroma. Not particularly complex but super drinkable and with perfectly balanced acidity. Delicious.

Tap @ SDBF’09. Light pour. This was nice, and probably had the least expectation for me at least. Sour ale is very well balanced probably a great sour for anyone who wants to try their first.

Tried it at BCTC festival and it was far and away the beer that stuck out in my mind as the best. Loved it. Sour and refreshing.
