JB175 (1364), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 29, 2008 Amber color with a mildly piney-floral aroma. Flavor is rather hoppy with a sweet, but slightly off-balance malt profile. Finishes spicy, but clean. Not bad, but I expect a bit better from these guys. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 19, 2008 Draft at Capone’s. Pours dark straw toward coppery with off-white head. Nose is immense piney hops, tropical fruity citrus, with malt and heavy floral notes. Tastes very floral, very piney hoppy, yeasty estery, a bit dry, with perhaps a bit of a lack of a malt bill, but the florals and the hops and the tangerine/pineapple citrus never let up, and make this one a marvelous brew that never gets hot. I wanted to growler this, but I shot my wad on the new Unibroue offering. IMHO, this one is rated very low for how good it really is. I urge all to give it a second chance. bp (315), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 13, 2008 Draft: amber color, frothy white head, floral hop aroma, some citrus, hops in the flavor with a slight bitter finish, nice IPA. egajdzis (3021), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 13, 2008 Poured a clear amber color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, caramel, pine, and light citrus. Taste of caramel malts, piney resin, citrus, and toast, with a moderately bitter finish.
