Appearance: clear mid light amber with touch of gold, medium plus creamy head. Nose: wonderful vegetable freshness of mango like hops. Old and well known formula but this nose does not get old. Yummy. Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied with light stickiness. Soft medowy citrus fruity hop overdose. Hop head heaven. None of harshness, aromatic , refreshing herbal pleasure. So smooth and light that noted alcohol seemed so distant.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Draft… Clear, deep gold ale with a creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. Floral, earthy aromas of pine, dried flowers, grapefruit and toffee. Medium to full-bodied and a touch oily with feather-light carbonation. Hefty, toffee sweetness compliments earthy, piney bitterness. Lengthy bitter, dry finish. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2009 On tap at Smokin Joe’s, Pittsburgh. Pours a clear orange color with a foamy white head. Hoppy tropical fruity/amarillo nose along with some yeasty fruity esters. Flavor has notes of grapefruit, pine and tropical fruit. Plenty of hop content/character but there was a touch too much malty sweetness in the finish. Full, round and creamy on the palate with moderate carbonation. Solid Stuff. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Pours a transparent dark golden bronze with a well-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet toasty caramel malt and fresh grapefruity hops. Starts with good fullness and sweet caramely malt well-balanced with assertive resiny bittering hops before a crisp, bittersweet finish. An enjoyable and true to style brew. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Pours a translucent copper with a thin off white head that leaves nice lacing... Smells sweet, toffee, dominated by a hoppy citrusy aroma.... Taste is creamy, with dominant citrus hops and a hint of sweet malt in the background... Medium Full bodied with a lingering citrusiness... I didnt realize the alcohol was 8, i was expecting 6, which is why while drinking it i was a bit put off by the mouthfeel, thinking it was way to thick... watson1977 (279), , Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2009 On draft at Teresa’s Next Door. Poured slightly hazy copper with off-white head. Nice lacing. Piney, citrusy flavor. Not overwhelmingly bitter and easier to drink than most IPAs. A bit thin bodied, but very crisp. Surprised at the 8% ABV. Very nice. I can see why this one is climbing in the rankings a bit.
