| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Out of the cask this one pours an amber color with a bit of white head.
The smell is piney and citrusy.
The first blast of flavor comes from the hops which are quite tangy and this is immediately followed by a strong grapefruit flavor. The finish is surprisingly smooth.
The mouthfeel is a bit stagnant, but it is possible that this is because of the cask.
This is a very drinkable brew and I was quite impressed overall.

Certainly not kidding, very flowery aroma. very refreshing, on tap I’m not tasting excessivse sweetness as some have reported. to me, a super, flower/citrus/pine wallop that stays controlled and drinkable. very nice. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Amber color with a mildly piney-floral aroma. Flavor is rather hoppy with a sweet, but slightly off-balance malt profile. Finishes spicy, but clean. Not bad, but I expect a bit better from these guys. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Draft at Capone’s. Pours dark straw toward coppery with off-white head. Nose is immense piney hops, tropical fruity citrus, with malt and heavy floral notes. Tastes very floral, very piney hoppy, yeasty estery, a bit dry, with perhaps a bit of a lack of a malt bill, but the florals and the hops and the tangerine/pineapple citrus never let up, and make this one a marvelous brew that never gets hot. I wanted to growler this, but I shot my wad on the new Unibroue offering. IMHO, this one is rated very low for how good it really is. I urge all to give it a second chance. bp (457), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
