Out of the cask this one pours an amber color with a bit of white head. The smell is piney and citrusy. The first blast of flavor comes from the hops which are quite tangy and this is immediately followed by a strong grapefruit flavor. The finish is surprisingly smooth. The mouthfeel is a bit stagnant, but it is possible that this is because of the cask. This is a very drinkable brew and I was quite impressed overall. Reviewed on: 06-28-2007

Tap at grey lodge. Certainly not kidding, very flowery aroma. very refreshing, on tap I’m not tasting excessivse sweetness as some have reported. to me, a super, flower/citrus/pine wallop that stays controlled and drinkable. very nice.

Amber color with a mildly piney-floral aroma. Flavor is rather hoppy with a sweet, but slightly off-balance malt profile. Finishes spicy, but clean. Not bad, but I expect a bit better from these guys.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours dark straw toward coppery with off-white head. Nose is immense piney hops, tropical fruity citrus, with malt and heavy floral notes. Tastes very floral, very piney hoppy, yeasty estery, a bit dry, with perhaps a bit of a lack of a malt bill, but the florals and the hops and the tangerine/pineapple citrus never let up, and make this one a marvelous brew that never gets hot. I wanted to growler this, but I shot my wad on the new Unibroue offering. IMHO, this one is rated very low for how good it really is. I urge all to give it a second chance.

Poured a clear amber color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, caramel, pine, and light citrus. Taste of caramel malts, piney resin, citrus, and toast, with a moderately bitter finish.

12 oz bottle from Joe, pours a clear dark amber/bronze a a wispy white head. Aroma has an abundance of floral hops and moderately sweet citrus. Taste has a slight sweetness with hints of orange and pineapple, with a malt base, and a mildly bitter hop and pine finish.
