| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours a light amber-orange with a big bubbly white head. This is the epitome of ’resiny hop’ flavor. If hops oozed sap like trees, this would be the beer made with that stuff. Nose is strongly of pine, a bit floral and a squeeze of citrus. Taste is pine, some citrus with a light and lingering bitter end. Above average overall. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2008 Bottled. Small head on a clear, fairly rich amber body. The aroma is spectacular, highly perfumed, fresh, lively, with a suggestion of fruit somewhere in there, but there’s a slight industrial smell from the alcohol. The flavours are both too sweet and too bitter. The thick, unyieldingly syrupy body doesn’t help with the candied tastes up front, and the bitterness becomes nasty and astringent if you let it linger. That scent almost makes it worth the experience, but it doesn’t make for the best-tasting IPA. Cruzan59 (197), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA
