Pours a clear amber gold with an off white head. Nose is strong with pine resin and almost a touch of sweet apricots. Flavor is strong with hop attributes. Fairly strong sweet tone to it. Feel has a lot of bubble on the tongue but a fairly standard liquid feel. I say this is extremely drinkable, but more so if you like the hoppy brews. If you are not one who digs getting kicked in the mouth by a hop (not that this one is that extreme), then you might appreciate this one a little bit less.

12-oz bottle received via trade with jah noth. Pours clear orange with an average, frothy, off-white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), heavy hops (pine, spruce, resin), light yeast (sweat) with notes of pear and peach. Medium bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

I am surprised at all the low scores for this one. I had not been impressed with this brewer before trying this one. Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a bright copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was strong sweet piney and floral hops. The flavor was strong sweet and thick with robust fruity, piney and floral hops. The hops linger on the long sweet finish. definitely my kind of IPA. Very hoppy but not harsh at all. The hops blended exceptionally well in this one.

Tap at Ginger Man. Light golden beer with a thin white head. Massive fresh hoppy aroma. Pungent and very floral. Lavender and violet with a strong grapefruity tangerine fruitiness, mango and pineapple. Fruity and very juicy lemon citrus over a pale malt base. Light honeyish sweetness. Bright hop flavour, very fresh, and very tasty. Given the ratings, I’m surprised that this doesn’t have better ratings. A very tasty, sticky, fruity IPA.

Pours hazy orange with fizzy white head. Aroma is suprisingly sweet honied oranges and other sugared sweet fruits - reminds me of a citrus green tea i used to drink. Flavor is definitely weird for an ipa - sweet honey and some weird damp hop flavor. Overall - different.

On tap at the Bocktown. Has an oily honey sweet hoppy floral aroma, like flowers! Very outstanding in the olfactory. My nose is truly impressed. Crystal clear light orange yellow. Some decent carbonation but needs more. Very hoppy bitter preservative flavors. Bitter medicinal taste. A little too much bitter personality for my sweet stout taste buds. Long lingering terrible finish. Very good example of an IPA!

Tap at Mugs Ale House: Pours a hazy yellowish golden with a creamy white head. The aroma is lemony, perfumy and dusty. Actually bright and decent. Has some earthy yeasty notes as well. The flavor is a let down. Slightly lemony, but it leans toward perfumy and has a slightly artificial (cleaner) aspect to it. The yeast gives it a slight earthiness, but the hop profile is lacking, which is what makes an IPA, so this one isn’t working. Oh well.

Bottle. Ok IPA. Orangish appearance. Average hop aroma & character. Easily drinkable malts balance well. Prefer Casaczilla
