Sep 1, 2009 Thanks oldstylecubsfan. Pours a translucent pale gold with a one finger offwhite head. The nose is very pungent and hoppy, citrusy, mango, grapefruit rind. Flavor is less pronounced and delicate, has a citrus rind bitterness, sweet, lacks carbonation.

Aug 30, 2009 Bottle. Interesting smell, pouring a fairly clear yellow orange. Lots of floral hops in the nose, with a bit of citrus thrown in. Flavor is interesting as well. Brutal blistering on the tongue from the hops. Very solid IPA.

Aug 29, 2009 tap at Bobbique: This is a very well balanced brew. Pours cloudy amber with thin white head. Fruity citrus in the nose. You just smell the hops trying to burst out of there. You can taste the citrus, floral character as well, and of course finishes with a great hoppy punch. Mouthfeel is acceptably oily and light body. One of my preferred IPAs, I think.

Aug 26, 2009 12 oz bottle via <ys Swap 4.0 (thanks j12601 and lilbeerdoctor!). Pours a semi-hazy amber with a large chunky off white head. Nose is floral and some fruity esters. Taste is lots of carmel, tea (crystal malts), and some fruity/floral hoppiness. This IPA is balanced a bit toward the malts side, but the hops that come through are actually quite nice. I think this is not real fresh as it has a best by date of October and this is almost September. Body is medium, carbonation is medium as well. A very easy drinking above average IPA, abv well hidden at 8%, i had no idea. THis should be listed in the Double IPA category though.

Aug 26, 2009 ( 12oz bottle thanks to zdk9) Pours a clear dark yellow with nice oily bubbles but no head and great lacing. Nose of chlorine, bright citrusy hops, spicy and honey. Taste is lightly bitter hops, oily body, sweet malts and quite nicely balanced. Enjoyable, but hard to get past the chlorine nose. Did they filter this city water??

Aug 23, 2009 bottle thanks to zdk9 from ba. amber with a white head. nose is bright, citrusy hops tagged with great esters. very nice on the palate with a slight bitter, citrusy hop flavor. very smooth finish to boot.

Aug 20, 2009 On tap at the Blue Tusk. Standard amber pour....white head. Very acceptable citrusy hop nose......equally adequate hop and malt backing. Proper bitterness throughout...all the way to the finish. Not outstanding but quite good.

Aug 18, 2009 Pours a amber color a nice white head to it. Has a citrus hoppy smell to it. Has a citrus taste up front but a very hoppy bitter finish. Seems more like a double IPA
