Aroma of mild pine and grapefruit. Taste was of grapefruit and orange, strong hops but not a west coast hop bomb. Very, very flavorful. Just the right amount of carbonation. I liked the fact that this IPA was very flavorful but not heavy or syrupy. An excellent balance, I’d drink again any time. I never was a huge fan of Ithaca back in college, but this beer and Cascazilla are really changing my mind! beeratarian (11), cleveland, Ohio, USA

The aroma is very fresh and ctirusy and brings to mind Amarillo and Simcoe hops. Subgary toffee malt and citrusy hops dominate the aroma. There are also flavors of grapefruit peel and pine resin. Overall there is a moderate level of bitterness. This medium-bodied beer has an average texture. As far as IPA goes, this is a good, but not great one to try. However, one is enough as there is just something about it that makes it not good enough to warrant having another...

Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate floral, sour citrus and small malt aroma.
Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.

Robust nose with a well blended bouquet of sticky hops and sweet and toasted malts. The flavor is well balances with citrus and malts sweetness. There’s a bit of a syrupy mouthfeel with a mild bitterness. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

Very floral, very. I usually like my hops a little more on the citrus west coast side, but this was damn impressive. Big and bold without being overpowering in any way. Solid beer Ithica, solid beer. jmm635 (267), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 22, 2009 Pours clear and copper with a small white head. Strong citrus aroma. I almost expected to see some orange slices floating in my beer. Decent amount of hops in the nose and on the tongue, with some malty sweetness to round things out. I found this beer refreshing and smooth, although not your typical IPA. joebudzjoe (231), Connecticut, USA
