Jmichael (529), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Apr 4, 2008 poured into a pint. pours a light cloudy amber copper with full white head, not too high. sweet citrus aroma, smooth hop middle and slight bitter finish. good ctrus presence and a chewy mouthfeel.
riversideAK (1427), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bottle from hopdog! Thanks buddy! Aroma of floral hops, some sweet malt, light citrus, and some honey. Might be a little oxidized, as it doesn’t seem to be as zesty as others say it is. Pours a nice orange with brown hues. Head settles to a thin ring. Caramel and honey give this one a good deal of sweetness. It is followed by a floral hop character that isn’t around long. Malt overpowers the hops, but the beer becomes pretty fruity with a tangy floral/herbal finish. Very drinkable at 8%. I found it rather quenching too. I would like to try this one again to see if I can find a bottle that tastes like "that stuff" that others say it tastes like. Wait...
After the sip lingers for a while, I get a definite herbal "herbal" quality! I bet this is real nice on tap. blklab2007 (489), Connecticut, USA Jun 30, 2008 bottle poured a copper red color with a one finger head that fell to a thin layer. aroma has wonderful sweet citrus hops, pine, honey, pollen, and caramel malt. highly addictive candy hop aromas. mouth feel is a little light with just enough carbonation to get it across. flavor has plenty of resinous pine citrus hop up against a fairly hefty sweetness. just enough malt to not be one sided. finish is a little washed out with bitterness loosing the flavors. very enjoyable and caught me by surprise. tagz (283), USA Jun 23, 2008 bottle. pours clear orange with a big sticky, lacy with head. the hops offer moderate pine and resinous flavors. the palate is a little too sweet. its a pleasant honey like sweetness but makes he beer less sessionable then it could be. good flavors all around but could use a little balance. obxdude10 (1382), Reading, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 5, 2008 Not a bad IPA, pretty average but drinkable & enjoyable, especially compared to the rest of the sampler box I purchased, poured a beautiful copper color with a decent off-white head, left a generous amount of lacing around the glass, aroma was full of hops, citrus & yeast, body was medium & crisp, the flavor sported a nice amount of hops & bitterness with subtle hints of citrus, bread & grass, the finish & aftertaste were pleasant with a nice crispness & bitterness, definitely the best of the four I tried from their sampler box Rogueone (270), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA Jun 4, 2008 Bottle: Pours a light amber-orange with a big bubbly white head. This is the epitome of ’resiny hop’ flavor. If hops oozed sap like trees, this would be the beer made with that stuff. Nose is strongly of pine, a bit floral and a squeeze of citrus. Taste is pine, some citrus with a light and lingering bitter end. Above average overall.
