Went to the grocery store looking for a sixer of old standby, Sam Adams -- they were all out, so I came home with this gorgeous ruby-colored brew. As a previous reviewer mentioned, I didn’t like it at first, but it grew on me a bit, too. Not a big fan of the style, but I think it’s a quality brew nonetheless -- good on a cold late-Autumn night in Upstate NY . . . rudolf (1787), Buffalo, New York, USA

Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and roasted nuts. Smooth roasty flavor. Definite coffee, nice hazelnut flavor also. This is a very good brown, probably the best I have tasted. Nice bitterness to finish. I like this. zach8270 (2138), Henrietta, New York, USA
