| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Coffee brown with small tan head. Aromas are of malts and maple syrup. The flavors include those of toasted nuts, dark brown sugar, and coffee. Medium intensity carbonation keeps the texture smooth and crisp. The ending comes a bit too soon and is dryly bitter. While drinking this brew I was thinking that it wanted to be a porter, but was stuck in the body of an ale. For some, this may be a good thing however. IrishBoy (2725), Bakersfield, California, USA
