12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a medium brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of roast, caramel, nuts, lightly earthy, smoke, and light oak. Tastes of caramel, nutty, roast, and light vanilla. Where’s the Oak (very subtle).

Bottle extra in a trade. Pours a dark brown amber body with a light off white head that diminishes to nothing. Sweet malty nose, a hint of nuttiness, almond. Very weak thin watery body. Nutty with a lingering light roastiness almost tobacco esk. Not much more, i was eager to move on.

Poured a lightly hazy, red amber color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, light cocoa, nuts, caramel malts and a bit of vanilla oak. Taste of nuts, light roast, vanilla, citrus fruits, and caramel, with a lightly bitter finish. Thanks to Tom for sharing!

Pours a mostly translucent deep brownish amber with a medium creamy/bubbly off white head. Aroma of mixed nuts, chocolate, toasted malt, like woodiness, a little earthy and lightly floral. Flavor of the same, some vanilla and oak, wood aging seems to add a nice complexity.

(Rating #2137)

Bottle shared by Malrubius. Light, nutty aroma (hazelnut, almond), with some sweet mild vegetal hops. Light carbonation with a mild body. Not much oak coming out here. It tastes like they used oak chips, which is ok, but they didn’t do much, and this wasn’t really a beer that should have been aged. Not bad though.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber brown body with a minimal off-white head that ran to a thin ring. Not much to the nose to signify that this was aged on oak, it is just about your average Brown Ale. Nutty, slightly grainy, a little bit of Nutella, and some light toasted malt. The flavor is minimally oaky as well. Slightly sweet with toasty nutty malt, a touch of graininess but not a whole lot. There may be a tad of raw oak on the late finish, but it is so little I do not think that I would have ever noticed if it were not on the label. Mouthfeel is light bodied, a little thin, with fizzy moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent drinker, but do not pick this up if you are looking for a wood-aged beer fix.

(bottle - 12 oz) Murky brown color with a puffy tan head. Aroma is dark and earthy with some hints of oak, nuts, and very light malts. Lots of dark fruit. Flavor is dark and earthy with a lot of dark fruit and oak notes. Very deep and rich with some slightly sour notes. Almost tasted like an old ale.
