| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Updated: Oct 28, 200912 ounce bottle in pint glass. Copper with head and lace. Spicy aromatic perfumy band-aid aroma. Spicy mild biscuit minty melony with somewhat dry finish. What a mess. Not sure if I’ll make it through this one.
re-rate: Tried to have this again last night, because I had to buy a mixed 12-pack to get the smoked porter, which also sucks. But I had to drain pour it. It was a soapy bandaidy perfumy sugary spicy mess. How do you fuck up a pale ale that bad?
Third time’s a charm? Finally finishing the pale ales from the twelve pack because I’m too broke to buy more beer right now, and, not sure what happened, but it’s not as bad as it seemed before. Just a regular mild pale ale, a little sweet lemon perfumy and slightly soapy, but not as bad as it seemed before. Can’t explain it. Apologies for the really bad first and second ratings. Has a real good hoppy aroma. Has a good crisp mouthfeel. Good carbination. Has a lighter body than heavy. Taste is good. Lots of hops and bitterness. Has a decent finish and feel real good going down. This is a real good beer. jkwalking05 (1501), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2009 12 oz bottle. From the same variety pack as the Oaked Nut Brown, and as I was disappointed in that beer, I’m a bit disappointed in the Pale Ale as well. It’s got a typical look and aroma, but all I can taste are the bitters of the hops. Very little flavor other than that. Seems to me Ithaca used to be better than this. bu11zeye (5675), Frisco, Texas, USA
