| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2001 Light copper; Aroma: Unfolding hops & fresh, bready malt; Palate: very fresh-tasting floral hoppiness. Not overwhelmingly bitter at all, just great hop flavours well balanced by fresh malt. jah noth (1020), Rochester, New York, USA

I heard that they were hopping this brew up, and it delivers. Nicely hopped and well balanced. A good effort and one worth seeking out in and around the area.
This is an average beer at best. Little in the way of maltiness and a sharpness without good hop flavor. The nut brown and flower power are much better. Nate (2554), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2003 Floral & fruity. Nice hops aroma with sweet malts. Spicy & herbal. Bright golden amber clear with small white head, lacing. Med body & med carb. Light sweet start, malts, and great hops profile. Watery, but well-balanced. Finish is light bitter w/light sweet bitter after. Nice session beer. Libeerian (209), Garner, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2003 I enjoyed the really bright, refreshing hop aroma and flavor. There's malt support but its appropriately subdued. The only drawback was the debris that messed with the appearance. Jan Primus (160), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

The flavor is dry and hoppy as expected, but well balanced on its rich, malty chassis. Touches of pineapple and nuts, and a clean, crisp finish. This is one of the best (and most underrated) APAs I can think of, and another treat from this consistently fine brewery. fredandboboflo (1418), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Bottle, best by February, I can only imagine of 2010. Aroma of largely toasted malt with loads of marmalade. Flavor keeps the toasted malt going, though gets a little sweeter than pure toast, with hop notes that are gentle but notable and becoming more leafy and floral. I actually quite like it.
