Sort of an apple juice yellow color, though foggy, and the head didn’t last. Medium body and not over-fizzy. Taste was a bit fruity, but really not too sweet, which is okay. It supposedly contains coriander, ginger, nutmeg, and mace . I don’t know if I got all that. The finish seemed a little off as well, but still a pretty good beer overall . | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Can something be both bright and opaque? If yes, then this is. Aroma is pure lemon wedges with a soft wheatyness in the background. I was surprised to find out this is supposed to be a Belgian White. More of a light-on-hops American Wheat, I thought. Pretty tasty either way. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 4, 2007 12 ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, NY (June 2007), consumed from a Duvel glass at cellar temperature on July 2, 2007. Moderate creamy, slightly frothy snow-white head atop dull lightly hazy amber-gold body, no lacing of consequence ….VERY faint, lightly spice aroma, most like an orange creamsicle, sweet with little to no yeasty funk ….much drier on the tongue than expected, somewhat mineralic and salty, little of interest here, no earthy qualities and little spiciness, more like hard soda-water than anything else, bone dry at the finish without being particularly thirst-quenching. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2007 This was crisp. More carbonated then other witbiers I have tried. It was jolly good. Good enough for me to say jolly good without feeling like a loser. Looks like pee! MrManning (1659), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2007 My girlfriend picked this up as part of a mixed 12 pack for the summer. Pours just slightly hazy, but produces more of a sparkling gold than a cloudy white/yellow which is typical of the style. Lemony nose is complimented with yeast, mildly hoppy with a good dose of assorted floral and spicy notes. Good corriander. The flavour profile is actually pretty spicy. There’s the tropical fruit component which is balanced by some acidity and hoppiness, and the spices really come through like I mentioned already. Again as in the nose, there’s a good dose of corriander. Finishes acidic, with a good bite from the spices and hops. Well made. kmweaver (2501), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2007 12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy, effervescent yellowish-brown color; enormous off-white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Pleasant amounts of coriander and oranges and spice in the aroma. Medium, creamy mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation; an estery and banana core at the front, providing a very warm, full presence in the mouth - yet at the center is a sharp, citrus and tropical fruit clarity; slightly overspiced?, but I really enjoy coriander in my beers. Medium, citrusy and coriander finish; slightly dry. hopson (596), Williamsville, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 15, 2007 bottle- a nicely done summer wheat. Correander, and a lot more spice than most in the style. Refreshing, with the Ithaca house taste that is really nice. beerbill (1982), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2006 12 oz. bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours a hazy honey color with a thin white head that lasted through most of the glass. Light aroma of sweet malt and a touch of coriander. Flavor followed aroma - I was expecting a bit more of the spicy flavor to come through. Easy to drink and refreshing, but nothing special.
