Commercial Description:
An Ithaca-style interpretation of the classic Belgian Wit bier, this unfiltered ale has a unique spicy flavor and dry finish, making it light and refreshing. Pilsen malt and four varieties of wheat create the yellow color, white foamy head, and signature cloudiness of a wit beer. 5.3% abv.

12 ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, NY (June 2007), consumed from a Duvel glass at cellar temperature on July 2, 2007. Moderate creamy, slightly frothy snow-white head atop dull lightly hazy amber-gold body, no lacing of consequence ….VERY faint, lightly spice aroma, most like an orange creamsicle, sweet with little to no yeasty funk ….much drier on the tongue than expected, somewhat mineralic and salty, little of interest here, no earthy qualities and little spiciness, more like hard soda-water than anything else, bone dry at the finish without being particularly thirst-quenching.

Pours turbid dull gold with 1-finger white head. Nose is dry florals, lime, white pepper, coriander. Tastes citric, limey, white peppery, with clean, dry floral notes, and a very smooth finish, with solid complexity for this style.
