| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is burnt meat, malt, hops.
Flavor is hoppy, malty, some peat, but there is also a bizarre smoky/bitterness that makes this drinkable. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Light bodied, crisp, and highly drinkable but not watery. Nothing not to like about it. Grassy hop flavor typical of pilseners, but a little bit more taste than most. Faint aroma. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Golden body, big white head with ample lacing, a bit of a foamer coming out of the bottle. Weak nose with light fruit. Crisp body with a dry caramel note that doesn’t fit the style, not terribly hoppy in aroma/flavor (i.e., finishing hops) but with bitter start and finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2008 A nice slightly higher than average pilsener. Aroma was nice. Bready with a distinct citrus hoppiness. Pour was a nice light hazy gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was pilsner malt, bread and yeast with a mouth drying bitter hop bite in the aftertaste. Good carbonation which makes this beer very refreshing. Nice checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Ithaca Pils is a slightly hazy light golden lager. It is very sparkling with a small, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, grassy and slightly fruity. It is medium light bodied with a clean, crisp finish. It is well balanced with decent bitterness. It tastes like Saaz. The aftertaste is leafy. It’s a simple and refreshing lager. cheapdark (2050), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 12, 2008 The label on this bottle says; Ithaca Pils Golden Lager, so I guess this is the right place to put my rating. Some mild citrus aroma. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance, with just a slight haze. Sharp bitter big pilsner hop bite. Very good carbonation. Lingering medicinal coating palate. I am rather surprised by the amount of bitterness this has in it, I would say it borders on IPA territory. Long lingering bitter graperfruit rind finish. This has many ale attributes and if I didn’t know better, I would never think of this as a lager.
