Davecooks (1126), Bay Area, California, USA Jul 1, 2008 750ml Bottle #315 dated April 07 via trade with Goldtwins. pours an incredibly clear, very light amber color (amber like the dried tree sap, not a beer style). Billowy white head that fades immediately into heavy lacing. Spicy yeast aroma with heavy fruit esters. Wheaty. Very heavy mouthfeel compared to what I expected from the look. Grainy with wheat and fruit flavors with some watermelon notes. Zesty, straw-like lemon notes as well. Finishes somewhat dry but is on the sweet side, overall. I like this beer. jjpm74 (2653), Connecticut, USA Jun 20, 2008 Pours amber with a nice white head. Smells of citrus, hay, some dry bretty hints. Tastes dry with some nice coriander, citrus, hay, some pepper. Enjoyable. frylock (941), Buffalo, New York, USA Jun 12, 2008 Pale golden color. Grainy malts, fruity yeast and some wooden hop aromas. Lightly sweet with berry like fruits accompanied by cereal malts and some light hops in the finish. Ends slightly dry with some tart earthy notes. Sammy (2939), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2008 The taste correlates more closely to an American pale. There is a bit fo sourness offset more by yeast than malting. It looks like an American pale wheat and the aroma is interesting because of the inclusion of brett, and Saaz hops. A good Summer beer. RCL (942), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jun 8, 2008 Pale golden pour. Brioche and citrus aroma. The flavor is lightly tart and spicy, with the 8% well concealed; I would guess it much lighter.
