Ole_R (1194), Oslo, Norway Jul 17, 2008 500 ml bottle. Big white creamish head. Foggy dark copper colored body. Good lacework. Smell of rounded, delicate sweet malts and a grassy/herbal hops. Taste is nicely balanced, refined malts blending well with fresh, noble hops. Strong body. Inviting bitter finish. One of the best pale/premium lagers I’ve ever tasted...
Joakgust (66), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 16, 2008 Tap, Man in the Moon bar - Large white disappering head. Big heavy aroma for being a lager, with notes of caramel and herbs. Also hints of citrus fruits. Citrus becomes more evident in the flavor which mixes well with the slight hint of caramel. Nice complex hoppiness creates a high palate score. Much better on tap. KM (145), Tromsø, Norway Apr 14, 2008 Bottle. Pale brown body, white frothy head. Light malty aromaand a tad fruity. Medium malty flavour. Some fruitiness. Pleasant carbonation. Pretty complex for a pale lager. Light bitter finish. (Ånn, 19.03.08) Egon (308), Gothenburg, Sweden Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Amber with white head. Floral and rubbery notes. Hay, metall and hops. Dry smoke. thewolf (3631), Kolding, Denmark Oct 17, 2007 Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours a very bubbly pale amber with a big bubbly off white head. Aroma has loads of complexity - some roasted, some smoke, some dirt and a citric hoppyness. Flavour is surprisingly smoky or more likely ashy. A bit metallic as well. A powerful dose of citric bitterness hits me at the end. Well... this is miles ahead of other pale lagers, but still this isn’t as good as it could be. There are maltyness in there that is perhaps meant to disguise off-flavours, but it still isn’t too fantastic.
