| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Draft at Laughing Seed. Just a bit of cloudiness in a golden brew with a thin, long lasting white head. Flowery, doughy nose. Nice spicy flavor with some sour yeast and a tart finish. I certainly had no idea it was 8.8% alcohol when I was drinking it as it goes down smoother than many beers of this strength. drfabulous (1238), Columbia, Missouri, USA

Great Banana aroma and the same wierd hop profile as their other beers. Clove, sweet pepper, belgian yeast, and banana flavors. A bit astringent on the finish, and somewhat ’hot’. Not a bad offering. argo0 (6897), Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Golden pale, no head. Served in a stemmed glass. Big ABV, the bartender warned me. Bring it, I’m excited. Huge aroma of cloves. Hints of white plum. lots of banana flavor, some clove, straw, and a touch of tartness. Duvel clone maybe even a scaldis. Very good. I’m craving a big bowl of mussels to go with it. Finishes with a touch of bubblegum. a very impressive yeast character. Finishes dry. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2008 This was was very eh. A very typical American take on a Belgian. A very pretty straw color with a small light head. Cookie dough nose, with some fresh hay, clove and banana. Slightly sour, with a bit of a bubblegum flavor, finishes slightly dry and chalky. tronraner (1916), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours brilliant gold with tight but small white head. The aroma is mellow banana, some cookie, light sugar, and some straw. The flavor is slightly tart with some yeasty banana and clove notes. The finish gets a bit grainy. The aftertaste is dry, but subdued by some lingering sweetness. Alcohol comes out as it warms. Not too bad.
