Your typical golden ale. Not bad. Has a sweet grainy aroma and flavor. Something that could be drank in large quantities.

Pours a clear, straw gold, with a small white head. Smells of grain, mild hops, and mild citrus. Nothing really going on here. The taste has a profound little cinnamon sweetness to it, that made it at least somewhat interesting. Still quite grainy and boring, but wasnt expecting too much here. Not much hop presence to it, perhaps could have used a little more citrus flavor.

The sweet smell of adjuncts prevail on the nose with just a hint of hops. A clean golden pur wth a white esdy head and lace. Head goes quickly but lace stays around. A sweetness of light malt start out followed by a light bitter. No bad aftertastes at all on this beer. An agressive carbonation but not over the top but aggressive. A pretty solid palate for the style. A pretty decent beer, clean, crisp, and refreshing. OK

Draught at Jack. Aroma is pale malt, only lightly fruity. Clear golden. Crisp with a light dose of alcohol, light pale malt and light graininess. Finishes with prickling from the carbonation. Medium body.

Draught. Gold with a white head. The nose is grainy and grassy with something like sour apples. The flavor has oaky, papery hops up front. Y’know it’s pretty clean all around, the malts are fair. The finish is sugary, but not cloying. This is more assertive than I anticipated, but still not really full. Imagine a pilsener-styled ale. Hop presence is crisp and balanced, but not my favorite variety.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy gold with thin white head. The aroma is light honey, some orange, some zesty hops. The flavor is zesty and earthy crispness with some interesting burnt toast notes. The finish gets a little bit carboardy, which is offputting. Ok, but not great.

Mostly clear medium gold, lacy head. Musty, slightly sulphurous aroma. Cereal malt, light astringency, well-bittered. Lightly tart, not sweet. Lingering, slightly metallic hop finish with some doughiness and grass. Medium body.

On tap at Jack of the Wood. Sledge Jr. was right on abou the malt liquor flavor. And I could’ve sworn this stuff had a higher alcohol content than is listed here. (see also Green Man Pilsner). This is not the best craft beer in town, but the atmosphere of the pub is definitely worth checking out.
